Westell is currently hiring for the following positions:

National Director of Business Development

Major Responsibility:

Position Westell’s In-Building Wireless (IBW) Products to Channel, Integrator, Corporate and Targeted Markets.  The majority of the focus will be in the IBW space, specific to the Public Safety Domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Business Development of Westell products & solutions with Integrators and Channel Partners
  • Responsible for market communication working in concert with the Business Units and Marcom
  • Partner with the SVP of Sales in developing and implementing a sales plan for IBW & Public Safety
  • Develop strategic HQ customer relationships in coordination with the Westell Sales Directors
  • Support any Carrier approved initiatives for Westell Products
  • Identify and deliver critical market feedback to Product Managers and support product line to ensure product management success
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations
  • Engage and participate in forums/trade shows and speaking opportunities
  • Provide sales and marketing support for product launches and trade shows
  • Responsible for following up on leads generated from marketing and sales activities; engage Sales Directors as needed

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Successful Sales and Business Development background in Telecom & Mobility networks: DAS, Macro, Repeaters, Small Cell, and Public Safety
  • Excellent industry knowledge of evolving technologies, market trends, OEMS’, competitors and service partners
  • Proven Sales and Business Development leading new market and growth initiatives
  • Expert in listening and translating customer issues into business opportunities
  • Thought leadership in identifying short and long term priorities to support business needs
  • Must be an industry leader with forum, trade-show and public speaking experience
  • Driven, hands-on, self-motivated leader who can work both strategically and operationally and ensure alignment through effective communication
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork, efficiency, accountability, and excellence in representing Westell
  • Proven ability to meet customer’s needs, build productive internal and external stakeholder relationships, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Ability to:
  • Identify skill/knowledge gaps and address promptly
  • To investigate and solve complex problems
  • Implement improvements with cross-functional team members
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally
  • Actively listen and ask impactful questions to accomplish tasks proficiently
  • Travel as required
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 8+ Years directly related work experience

Staff Accountant – Aurora, Illinois

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in external audit activities and audit preparation
  • Assist in preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and disclosures needed for SEC reporting
  • Month end account reconciliations
  • Accounts receivable monitoring and collections
  • Inventory costing and analysis
  • Assist with review of sales and use tax filings
  • Assist in accounting and tax research
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Assist in the preparation of internal management financial reports
  • Special projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience is required, public accounting experience preferred
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, project management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work hands on, and become actively involved in all aspects of the accounting and finance function
  • Excellent Excel skills; CPA and SAP experience are a plus
