Ensuring the Use of Responsibly Sourced Materials

At Westell, we are committed to ensuring that products we receive from our suppliers are sourced responsibly. Materials such as tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold, which are considered conflict minerals, are essential to the manufacturing of many products, including most electronics.

Quantities of these “Conflict Minerals” come from mines located in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries, where violence and human rights violations may be associated with, or funded by, the mining of these materials.

Westell is committed to responsible sourcing and works with our suppliers to ensure that  “conflict-free” materials are used in our products. To take our efforts even further, we also ask our suppliers to perform reasonable due diligence and evaluation of their supply chains to help demonstrate and document compliance.
