Interface Panels

Westell’s Distributed Antenna System (DAS) Interface Panels attenuate power levels from the base transceiver station (BTS) in a DAS to ensure proper power levels are transmitted to the DAS head end, where RF signals are converted to optical signals. Both transmit and receive power levels can be monitored and adjusted without disconnecting from the BTS or the DAS head end.

Westell’s DAS interface panels reduce installation time, require minimal rack space, are convection cooled, require no AC or DC power and provide RF power adjustments without interrupting service. Panels are available for SISO+ applications (allowing a second BTS to be added onto the existing network for increased capacity in the future) and MIMO/Dual SISO applications. Westell DAS interface panels are available for the 700 MHz band, 850 Mhz cellular band, PCS band and AWS band.
