Great American Ball Park Optimizes Signal Performance

Cincinnati, Ohio

The Great American Ballpark, an over 42,000-seat facility, opened its doors in March 2003. Home to the Cincinnati Reds, the facility expands over 29 acres and was recently fitted with Westell’s ClearLink® Universal DAS Interface Tray (UDIT™), an active radio frequency (RF) DAS conditioner and management system that optimizes signal performance between a small cell or high power base station transceiver (BTS) and a DAS.

The DAS configuration includes 72 point-of-interface (POIs), covering 700, 1900 and AWS 2100 frequencies, providing best-in-class coverage and signal quality throughout the ballpark. The system is easily managed with the ClearLink UDIT, which provides remote monitoring of DAS alarms, RF parameters, and configurations via a web-based graphical user interface (GUI).
