Service Hand-off Active-heat Dissipating Enclosure (SHADE)

Perfect for remote wireline or mobile backhaul sites, the new Westell SHADE is a universal outdoor equipment enclosure that enables network operators to deploy electronic equipment deeper into their networks. Westell SHADE is designed with our proprietary Dynamic Cooling System, which uses external, ambient air to significantly cool internal air through our patented reverse-flow air management system. This substantially reduces the effects of solar loading by dissipating up to 225 watts of heat, and it eliminates the need for air conditioners or heat exchangers. There are fewer moving parts, no chemicals to monitor, and no filters to maintain, resulting in a smaller enclosure that is easier and more cost-effective to operate.
