Optima Management System

Optima Management System

Optima Management System

The Optima Management System® provides comprehensive site monitoring, management and control of a network’s site infrastructure from a user’s desktop and virtually any Apple® iOS and Android™ device.

Remote sites such as cell sites, substations and remote communication huts and all systems (power, environmental, communications and security, for example) can be remotely monitored. This gives immediate operational cost reductions for organizations that need to access, monitor and manage a large number of sites.

Remote Connect

  • Requires Westell hardware for any applications
  • Lower cost for multiple applications at one site (one Westell Remote requires one license)
  • Data collection during network outages
  • Support for dry contact and analog sensor devices
  • Support for serial-connected devices
  • Local logic and closed-loop control capabilities
  • Ethernet, serial, and alarm I/O aggregation
  • Integrated firewall and VPN capabilities
  • Flexible WAN interfaces (10/100baseT, GigE copper/fiber, 4G WWAN)

Direct Connect

  • Lower initial cost for single application
  • Higher initial cost for multiple applications at one site (one device = one license)
  • No data collection during network outages
  • Dry contact, analog, and serial-connected devices not supported - Network-capable devices only
  • No local logic and control
  • Additional network connectivity infrastructure often required (router/switch)
