DAS University added a Day 3 – Advanced NICET-Level & Authority Training for one reason – too many systems pass install and fail performance, inspections, or real-world use.
Day 3 is led by Tom Warfield and Westell and is designed for the professionals who are responsible for system integrity — not just pulling cable. This advanced add-on goes beyond installation into engineering-level validation and AHJ-ready decision-making, including:
• Downlink and uplink link budget calculations using real data
• Translating link budgets directly into BDA configuration and gain strategy
• Spectrum analyzer fundamentals for measuring signal and noise correctly
• Understanding noise floor, uplink interference, and system degradation
• Using a tracking generator to validate cable runs and passive components
• Advanced troubleshooting scenarios that commonly fail inspections
This is the material that separates installers from trusted authorities in public safety DAS and ERCES work. Days 1–2 cover fundamentals, hands-on installs, testing, and commissioning. Day 3 is where accountability, confidence, and credibility are built. If you’re pursuing NICET, managing projects, leading installs, or standing in front of AHJs — this is the day you don’t skip.
Day 3 is an optional add-on and will be capped.
